9th Annual Luna Park Chalk Art Festival

The festival is free to attend and open to the public.

Registration is NOW OPEN!

    • Artists of all ages and experience levels can purchase a space to chalk at the festival. No experience is necessary!
    • Chalk spaces come in various sizes and include soft pastels/chalk.
    • K-12 School/youth programs may register for chalk spaces at no cost.
    • Arts and crafts vendors, nonprofit organizations and businesses can purchase booth spaces and chalk art spaces.

Pre-Festival Workshop

The Luna Park Arts Foundation is hosting their annual FREE chalk art workshop on Sunday, August 20 from 2-5 PM at Watson Park in San Jose.

Learn about:

  • preparing your artwork
  • laying out your artwork on the ground
  • tools and materials
  • pastel techniques
  • color mixing

This is a hands-on workshop led by veteran Luna Park Chalk Art Festival participants. You will get to practice and play with the techniques. Materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

This workshop is open to all ages and skill levels.
